Nalini Akolekar began her career at Silhouette Books and has more than fifteen years of experience as a freelance editor.  In addition to working with companies like Silhouette, Harlequin, Kensington, and Dorchester, Nalini has done reviews and manuscript evaluations for Romantic Times Magazine and consulted privately with authors struggling to make their first sale, many of whom went on to successfully publish multiple books. After spending several years working in advertising sales Nalini resumed her publishing career as an agent, primarily representing authors of women’s fiction and the all the romance genres. She has made sales to Avon, Ballantine, Grand Central, Harlequin, Mills & Boon, Mira, Samhain, and Sourcebooks.
When Nalini was growing up her mother would frequently ask her in exasperation, “What are you going to do with your life? All you ever do is read romance novels!”  Little did she know that her daughter was building a career for herself, one captivating page at a time.
